You’ll probably think what a weird article, but we experience many consumers who are struggling with assessment.  Well let’s be honest it may be not the most interesting entertainment article but it is very useful.The term assessment is used very often nowadays.  But what does an assessment mean?

An assessment is an assignment which consists of 4 parts:
-Practical simulation
- IQ test
- Personality questions
- Interview

During an assessment you have to perform the best you can. But many jobseekers find it very hard what to do and especially what not to do during an assessment. So we decided to put together some do’s and don’ts  with every section.

Practical simulation
Do’s
- Be open to other viewpoints without admitting
- Be the way you are in real life
- Practice: keep a presentation at home in front of a camera or friends and family and ask them for their opinions.
Don’ts
- Don’t use sharp findings against your opponent for example: ‘ Yesterday in the elevator you said you were willing to work overtime’.  Make it a fair game.
- Obtain cramped the role of president just to show you are the leader.
- Ask how the assessors are judging afterwards.
- Do not hold on tightly to your own opinions, be open minded.

IQ Test
Do’s
- Practice with general thinking and solution strategies of intelligence tests.
- Practice with the most common tests such as verbal analogies, figure series and syllogisms.
- Read the instructions before the test begins
Don’ts
- Do not stab to long with a task you don’t understand
- Do not be tempted to gamble the last minute of your test by filling in the multiple choice questions blindly.
- Don’t doubt to long

Personality questions
Do’s
- Take only yourself as starting point to answer all the questions
- Do not worry to long about your answer, but let the question penetrate.
- Differences between work and leisure: choose your ‘work personality’.
Don’ts
- Do not fill in the answer what you think they want to hear. Just be yourself and be honest.
- Don’t fill in the questions with strategic answers only because you hope the out coming will be a normal profile.
- See the personality questionnaire as an outlet where you need to let emotions run wild.

About the interview we can be very short. The most important thing during an interview is being honest and be yourself.  The main goal of an assessment is to find out who fits perfectly in the job profile. Don’t be disappointed when the company didn’t choose you for the job, probably it was just not the right job for you.
